The Management of 11 Plc (formerly Mobil Oil Nigeria) showed its leadership traits in the sector recently when it singlehandedly bankrolled the huge ‘financial plans’ of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) in staging the first Magaji Muhammad Sani-led Central Working Committee Meeting as well as National Executive Council Meeting of the association.

The CWC/NEC hosted by Comrade Adebayo Jimoh Kolawole-led NATA South-West Zone held between Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th September, 2018 at De Genesis Hotel & Suites; located in Oke-Ira area of Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.

For taking up the CWC/NEC budget, Comrade Asiwaju Jacob Omonide Fayeun (Chairman, NATA Lagos State Chapter) who played perfect host to the meetings praised the management of 11 Plc, saying: “We thank Mobil Nigeria Plc now 11 Plc for supporting the hosting of this NEC/CWC Meeting.”

“On behalf of all NATA (members) in Nigeria, we say a ‘very big thanks’ to the Management of 11 Plc (formerly Mobil Nigeria Plc),” Comrade Fayeun said.

Directing his gaze to Mr. Oluwaseun Oke (representative of 11 Plc at the events), Comrade Fayeun declared to the august gathering that: Mobil, “You are the leading oil company in Nigeria and the world in general.” He prayed that the company “will continue to lead (other) oil companies in Nigeria and the whole world.”

He passionately declared that: “MOBIL LEADS! …OTHERS FOLLOW!!” and that “There is no controversy over this!”

In the same vein, Comrades Magaji Muhammad Sani (President) and Musa Yahaya (National General Secretary) in their addresses to the NEC praised the Management of 11 Plc for its good gestures towards the hosting of the Meetings.

Adding his voice to the rain of accolades extended towards the Management of 11 Plc at the event, Comrade Boniface Chukwu (NATA Deputy National Secretary) eulogized the good gestures of the company, but cunningly played an Oliver Twist by “I am using this opportunity to request for laptops” from 11 Plc “for the National Secretary’s office and the 36 State Chapters as well as the FCT Chapter Secretaries’ use.”

While however responding to the request, Mr. Oluwaseun Oke promised to table the request with his company’s management.

Earlier in his address to the gathering, Mr. Oluwaseun Oke said: “Any company that doesn’t recognize NATA is no company and (that) Mobil recognize NATA.”

He declared that Mobil is not only known in Nigeria, but globally for its high quality lubricants. He therefore urged the gathering to use Mobil Oils to service their customers’ vehicles in order to have rest of mind thereafter.

He noted that Mobil stands for Product Integrity despite the change of corporate name and that the new company still holds integrity in high esteem.

He informed the gathering that ExxonMobil officials were on a visit to 11 Plc as that NEC Meeting was on-going and that they marveled at the level of standard that the company had been taken to.

Mr. Oluwaseun Oke revealed to the gathering of NATA leadership that his company was working on establishing Mobil-NATA Modern Mechanics Villages in some parts of the country and more importantly; how the company can improve on the existing ones.

In conclusion, the lubricant expert informed the NEC Meeting that Mobil is particular about Mechanics Training; which according to him, it has been handling for about 10 years; and that so far Mobil had trained about 6,000 mechanics across the country this year.
