May I have the highest honour to welcome you to this historical gathering of bigwigs and notables in Nigeria Automotive Industry on this side of the South-South Region of Nigeria.

Yes, with salutation of heartfelt gratitude for making out time to honour us on this occasion, I welcome you all!

The Objectives of the nationwide Road Safety Awareness Seminars and Usage of Genuine Engine Oils Advocacy for Auto Repair Technicians by Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative is constant; let us adhere strictly to best practices in the art of vehicle repairs and maintenance in Nigeria and jettison acts that can be detrimental to the collective stand of the biggest association of vehicle repairs and maintenance technicians across the country, NATA.

If vehicle owners and the teaming commercial transporters in the country know what to do to bring their vehicles back on the roads whenever it breaks down, definitely the vehicle repairers will be out of business.

These private vehicle owners and transporters have come to those in the repair sector of the economy as very important stakeholders in the industry and as such we must not let them down by engaging in shoddy jobs.

Sincerely speaking, there is much dignity in vehicle repairs trade; which many NATA members learned from individual experts for a reasonable period of time before being certified to practice on their own and which course is today given priority in many higher institutions of learning in the country.

Honestly, I have no doubt in my mind that all participants will leave this Seminar today more enriched to make their minds to give their customers/passengers only the best and nothing, but the best at all times; as the Guest Speakers who will re-orientate us here are prepared to make sure that all participants gain from their rich experiences.

But before the speakers commence their presentations, let me quickly thank our Distinguished Guest of Honour, His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki, the Executive Governor of Edo State for finding time out of his tight schedule in the governance of this unique state to attend this event.

This sacrifice of time and pleasure shows that Your Excellency has genuine interest in whatever the members of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), Edo State Chapter are doing to contribute their expected quotas to the development of Edo State.

Believing that this assertion is the truth; then, on behalf of NATA all over the country, I wish to appeal to Your Excellency to establish Mechanics Villages for NATA, Edo State Chapter members; to take them out of the streets and more so, in order to free the environment from used oil pollution that may have adverse effects on the inhabitants of the state in no distance future.

To other Distinguished Guests and Speakers; the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command; the FRSC personnel present; the Leadership of NURTW, Edo State Council; the Officials from the Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals present here with us, respectable gentlemen of the Press and all participants, I thank you most sincerely for coming to enrich today’s program and for adding colour as well as importance to it.

We appreciate continually in no small measure the usual support of our Safety related programmes by the Board of Directors and Management of 11 Plc (formally Mobil Oil Nigeria).

Mobil Oil has made a vow to better the lives of NATA members across the country and elevate the association to the next enviable level possible. Therefore, I wish to implore all NATA members in this state, all the NURTW and indeed all stakeholders to use Mobil Oil at all their service periods.

God bless you all!
