Comrade Adeleke Balogun, the newly elected State Chairman of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), Ogun State Chapter has been appointed as one of the Patrons of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative; a Non-Governmental Organisation established in 2013; with the Consent of Federal Road Safety Commission.
To this effect, a letter of appointment was duly presented to Comrade Balogun at his Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State base on Friday 6th November, 2020 before a gathering of NATA Ijebu-Ode LGA/Unit’s officials and those from its environs by Comrade Samuel Oloyede Oriowo; the NGO’s President.
Comrade Oriowo enjoined the NATA officials and members to continue to support the laudable programmes of the Chairman, whom he said was poised to take the association to the next level.
While reiterating his resolve and commitment to contribute meaningfully to the progress of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association, Comrade Oriowo, who is the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of NATA News Magazine and www.natanewsonline.com.ng urged the members to embrace seminars and workshops to enhance their skills, saying: “The time for trial and error in getting to know vehicles’ faults is gone.” And that: “Everything in World Automotive Industry; especially the Repair/Maintenance Sector has gone digital.”
Comrade Oriowo used the opportunity of his visit to call on the officials of NATA in Ogun State to mobilize for a stunning attendance of their members at the Road Safety Seminar and Usage of Genuine Engine Oil Advocacy slated for Thursday 26th November, 2020.
He revealed that there were exciting as well as captivating gift items that includes 4 brand new motorcycles on ground for take-home by members.
Comrade Oriowo disclosed that the venue of the program remains DLK Events Center, Block V, Plot 4A 1, Moshood Abiola Way, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. In his reactions, Comrade Adeleke Balogun thanked the Board of Trustees of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative for counting him worthy of the great honour.
He promised not to let the Board of Trustees of the Organisation and its members down in their expectations of those things he would have to do to lift the image of the Organisation.
