When the Management of Ammasco International Limited signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding with the National Executive Council of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association on Tuesday 28th day of May, 2019 to partner in branding Ammasco Engine Oil for NATA members nobody envisaged the variety of impressive ‘goodies’ that were in stock for members of the association; and which is now being released to them nationwide.

The ravaging effects of Coronavirus Pandemic on Nigerians in year 2020, gingered the Kano based engine oil blending giant to open its wallets to give out palliatives worth about N25 millions to members of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) across the country.

It promised more. And more are being delivered to members of the trade association nationwide now in form of automotive tool acquisition.

During NATA’s National Executive Council Meeting on 16th September, 2020 Ammasco International Limited in fulfilling its obligations to the association gave out 114 Ammasco-NATA branded automotive tool boxes to all members of NEC.

It followed the gesture up by giving out 100 of the same branded tool boxes to members of the association in Kano State, the company’s home base.

Having been handicapped however, with the outbreak of Coronaviru in 2020 the Management of Ammasco International Limited could not continue with the distribution of the tools. But on Saturday 4th of September, 2021 the company kicked off a Promo Draw that it tagged Ammasco-NATA Tool Empowerment Scheme to reward members of the association that patronize Ammasco Oil brands, nationwide.

During the launch of the Promo Draw in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for NATA Kwara State Chapter, Ammasco International Limited rewarded 70 members with brand new automotive tool boxes worth millions of Naira.

Meanwhile, in flagging-off the Promo Draw, Comrade (Alhaji) Magaji Muhammad Sani, the NATA National President praised the efforts of the Management of Ammasco International Limited, producers of Ammasco brands of Automotive Engine Oil for sustaining its Quality stance at all times; and more so for empowering NATA members throughout the country.

The first term President of NATA noted that NATA members are the end users of Ammasco Oil and that for considering his association members worthy of this great honour of empowerment through automotive products worth million of Naira was commendable.

He revealed that the Promo Draw would be staged throughout the 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as according to him, what was being done was to commence in the North Central State of Kwara and the South-West.

Thereof, the Promo Draw shifted to Abioye Hall in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, Nigeria on Monday 6th September, 2021 where Ammasco International Limited’s allocation of 60 Tool Boxes was carted away by lucky winners.

A former NATA Bayelsa State Chapter General Secretary, Comrade Abdul-Bari Eyinfunjowo while congratulating the 10 winners that emerged from his state chapter noted that the draw eventually proved him right that the promo was not a farce.

He said: “I remember about one and a half years ago when I, as then State General Secretary of Bayelsa State Chapter of the association went out persuading all members to participate in the Ammasco Empowerment Program. Some thought it was a farce. But I thank God (today), it is a reality.”

Comrade Eyinfunjowo rightly revealed the mindsets of several members of NATA across the country who out of skepticism refused to participate in the Promo, but are now calling for a repeat of the empowerment; which is a win-win for participants.

As the year is drawing to a close, sources at the headquarters of Ammasco International Limited in Kano, Kano State, Nigeria have revealed that members of NATA in Sokoto, Kebbi, Kastina, Kaduna and Zamfara State Chapters will soon have their turns in sharing from the generosity of the company headed by Alhaji Mustapha Ado Mohammed, The Sun (Newspapers) Industrialist of the Year 2020.

Meanwhile, its commendation galore for the Board of Directors as well as Management of Ammasco International Limited by several stakeholders in the Nigeria Automotive Industry for the unprecedented gestures it is giving to members of one of the largest trade association in the country.

Taking into consideration however, the appalling level of insecurity in the country and not minding their safety, the duo of NATA National President, Comrade (Dr.) Magaji Muhammad Sani and his National General Secretary, Comrade Musa Othman Yahaya took the risk to monitor the success of the Promo Draws round the country.

Stakeholders in the Nigeria Automotive Repair Sector have been commending the high level commitment of the duo and call for massive votes to return the friendly Comrade Magaji Muhammad Sani during the next national general election of the association; to enable him according to them, “complete the good works he had started, as first term President.”
