Comrade (Alhaji) Adebayo Jimoh Kolawole (NATA National Vice President for South-West Zone), whom by status in the zone was mandatorily the Chief Umpire of the Electoral Committee saddled with the task of conducting election to fill vacant posts in NATA Lagos State Chapter Executive Council arrived the state in good time with his Secretary, Comrade Amos Oyerinde.
The duo of Comrade Kabir Sani, NATA Katsina State Chapter General Secretary and Comrade (Elder) Nkemdirim Kanu, NATA National Auditor III, from Abia State, Nigeria and who were members of the Electoral Committee later joined the umpires in the state.
On Wednesday 27th October, 2021 the Electoral Committee Members screened the contestants; while before the election proper on Thursday 28th October, it was the turn of the delegates to be screened.
However, there were 10 delegates par local government branch. Where there were LGAs as well as LCDAs, the old structure of LGA was strictly used to reduce the number of delegates for easy conduct of the election.
And 2 LGA Branches that were inactive in the NATA Lagos State Chapter activities for about 1 year before the election were not allowed to take part in the election processes.
All along, the NATA National Deputy President, Chief Sunday James Aina was at hand to give necessary guidance and advice; while the Lagos State Government also sent its representatives to witness the poll.
Venue of the election was the Legislative Hall of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Secretariat located on Oyetayo Street, Bolade, Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria.
