I want to see NATA financially independent – NATA President

Comrade (Dr.) Magaji Muhammad Sani, National President of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) while addressing 7th NATA Quadrennial National Delegates Conference in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria on Monday 17th January, 2022 said he would want to see his association becomes financially independent.

According to him, there is “No association (that) can survive without money.” He declared “We must tell ourselves nothing, but the truth on how NATA will be on her foot financially.”

“I want to see NATA financially independent so that we can have a success story to tell in future,” he told his members that included all NATA State Chapter Chairmen, Secretaries and National Officials.

He further stated that: “As you can hear from the Secretariat Report read by the National Secretary, state (officials) must wake up to their constitutional responsibilities on finance.”

On the issue of permanent secretariat, the President informed the Delegates that: “We at the National Secretariat have been trying our best as to how to secure land (in Abuja) to build National Secretariat.”

He appealed to anyone of the members who could have necessary connection with the FCT Minister to assist the association so that it could have its permanent secretariat. “The rent in Abuja is on the high side,” the amiable President declared.

The President who one can recall sacrificed time to travel with the Management of Ammasco International Limited round the country to monitor Ammasco Pick & Win Promo Draw noted that it was only in the North-West Zone of the country that the Promo Draw was yet to take place.

He appealed to his teeming members in the zone; where he also comes from to be patient with the company and the NATA National Secretariat too, promising that as soon the election was over, that the zone would be visited.

He revealed that during the draws many NATA members across the country benefited from the Ammasco Customised Tool Boxes; as a result of which the gentleman National President thanked the management of Ammasco International Limited for.

Concluding his speech, Comrade (Dr.) Magaji Muhammad Sani said: “It is my (fervent) believe that the incoming administration this time around must wake up and do justice to this issue of finance.”

He prayed for divine guidance during as well as after the other deliberations; most especially the election.
